Practice anywhere services required, either iu State or Federal Courts. 7 . : Know all men by these net l of the btate Of North Carolina, for value received hereby acknowledges itself to be indebted and promises to nav to tlu bearer the sum of Five Hundred Dollars on the first day of January, iu the year One Thousand Nine Hundredland Seven teen, in lawtul money of the United States of America, at the national , J5-mk ot the Kenub interest thereon from the date hereof, at the rate of Six phis centum per1-annum, payable annually in like money 011 the first day of January of each year at the National .Bank of the Republic of New York City on the presentation and surrender of the' annexed coupons as they severally become due. This bond is one of a series Of forty-eight bonds of like date, tenor and amount, numbered from one to forty-eighty, both inclusive, and said bonds are issued by authority' conferred and nursnnnt, in the provisions of an act of the North Carolina, entitled, "An commissioners of Harnett County Jxs'issue bonds and to levy a special tax for the special -purpose i of funding and paying the existing debt of said County, and . for other special purposes" ratified February 15th, 1897, as well as pursuant to resolutions of the Board of Commissioners of Harnett County, adopted at their regular meeting cu the first Monday of June 1897, and resolutions adopted at a special meeting duly held oif July 5th, 1897, of which those numbered from one to twelve inclusive are issued for the purpose of building a Court House and the others for funding and paying the existing debts of said County contracted for necessary expenses. And pursuant to the authority conferred by said act it is hereby covenanted and agreed that the coupons hereto annexed will be received at their face value in payment of, all county taxes or other County dues. .And it is hereby further certified that pursuant to the provisions of the said Act .the Board of Commissioners of said County ordered a special tax upon all the taxable" property and persons, of said County, sufficient to pay the interest on the bond as it accrues and to provide a sinking fund for the payment of the principal hereof at maturity, to be annually levied and collected and exclusively applied to such purpose. And it is hereby certified, that no provisions of the Constitution or laws of the wise' violated by tlie. issue ot said fied aud declared that this series necessary expenses of the County for the building of a new County for the purpose of funding certain County contracted by the County for necessary expenses. And it is- further certified and declared that all acts and requirements and conditions precedent or otherwise to the issue of the said jonds have been duly and fully jonds are in 'all respects legal, credit of the said County of Harnett is hereby pledged for the .myment and redemption of the thereon, as the same respectively able at the option of the County Nineteen Hundred and Two, but is one, shall only be redeemed mencing with number one. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, Commissioners of Harnett County, North Carolina, has caused these presents to be signed by the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners, and' countersigned by the Clerk of said board, withthe corporate seal of first day of January 18&7.
